My little boy is growing up

Today was Joshua's first day of "school". He will be at school a day and a half each week. I was really nervous about it, but Joshua walked right in, just like he owned the place. I believe he had a really great day!

A Heart's Journey....

It's our 5th Wedding Anniversary

We met on January 1, 2000, while watching a football game. Mutual friends introduced us to each other and we immediately struck up a conversation. We spent those first several weeks talking endlessly on the telephone. Through those many, many hours a strong friendship developed, and over the next several months this friendship blossomed into a beautiful loving bond.

Ronnie is my very best friend and confidante. From the day we met, I knew he was special and that my life would never be the same. I was immediately drawn to his confidence and strength, his sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and compassion. I have watched him grow into a caring pastor, a loving father and more than I ever dreamed of in a husband. I am blessed to share my life with Ronnie and I am so proud to be his wife.

Friends

It's so much fun to visit with friends, especially when you don't get to see them very often. Even Joshua, at his young age, enjoys these visits. We recently got to see Anna Kay and Alex at a church service and had a great time. They're all growing up so quickly....

Pots and Pans

Joshua loves to play in the cabinets and pull out all of the pots and pans. He's always been fascinated with trying to get into the pots, although he's grown so much, it's a pretty tight fit these days:

Children are like sponges....

I've heard this all my life, but now I'm realizing how true this statement is. Joshua amazes me daily with the little things that he knows...without me knowing that he knows them. For example: on Saturday nights Ronnie spends a lot of time in the study preparing for Sunday's sermon. On one recent Saturday night, Ronnie asked Joshua, "Will you go ask Momma for a bottle of water and bring it to me?" Joshua proceeds down the hallway, but rather than coming to me, goes directly to the recently purchased 6-pack of water that is sitting on the floor in the kitchen, and tries to carry the entire 6-pack of water to Ronnie. I was sitting in the living room observing all of this in amazement. I then went to the fridge and handed Joshua a cold bottle of water and he carried it directly to his daddy! It just amazes me that although he cannot communicate verbally with us, he understands exactly what we are saying!! As I said, I'm amazed daily by all of these wonderful little things!!!Another amazing little thing - talking on the telephone!!!
