An Award

This evening, Joshua was presented an award by the City of Baldwin. The award was for being buckled properly when he and Ronnie were in the car accident last September.
The award is something new that the Governor's Office of Highway Safety is doing this year. Baldwin police chief, Darren Osborn, nominated Joshua for this award. He and the Baldwin police department were amazed that Joshua was not injured in this wreck. I am so thankful that neither Joshua or Ronnie were injured seriously. Joshua only had a few bruises where the car seat belt tightened on his collar bone. Ronnie had the worst of the injuries with a few cracked ribs and bruises on his knees.

Joshua was a little nervous about getting up in front of the council and people in the audience. He wanted daddy to be right next to him. Presenting the award is Randall Townley from Regional Educational Service Agency and Chief Darren Osborn.

He was very impressed with the police officers and the police department. After we left the council room he said, "That was so awesome!" I think he was great and it was awesome!

Star Wars for Valentine's

Have I mentioned that Joshua LOVES Star Wars and Legos!

So what was supposed to be a "birthday" present turned into a Valentine's present. And we will get another present for birthday. And yes, Joshua's birthday is in October, but he likes to plan ahead.

Happy ♥'s Day

Valentine's class party

Today was Joshua's class Valentine's Day party and I was able to visit the class and help out (yay). Miss Amanda helped each of them make these super cool Valentine's boxes.

She decorated the class with red, white and pink balloons. Then had plates of muffins, strawberries, grapes, marshmallows, lolly pops. and candy hearts for them to snack on.

After lots of sugary treats, it was tough to get all the kids still long enough to snap a class photo.

Lots of fun memories for Joshua in his Pre-K class.

Lately, if you ask him what he is saving his money for in his piggy bank, he will tell you that it is for Kindergarten. (We've been telling him that we are saving it for college, but Kindergarten or college, that's close enough!) :-)

Woke up to a winter wonderland again

Joshua told us he needed to stay home from school today because there wouldn't be any snow to play in by the time he got home. He was right, it melted by lunch time.
Here's hoping for at least one more big snow in Georgia this year!!!
