An Award

This evening, Joshua was presented an award by the City of Baldwin. The award was for being buckled properly when he and Ronnie were in the car accident last September.
The award is something new that the Governor's Office of Highway Safety is doing this year. Baldwin police chief, Darren Osborn, nominated Joshua for this award. He and the Baldwin police department were amazed that Joshua was not injured in this wreck. I am so thankful that neither Joshua or Ronnie were injured seriously. Joshua only had a few bruises where the car seat belt tightened on his collar bone. Ronnie had the worst of the injuries with a few cracked ribs and bruises on his knees.

Joshua was a little nervous about getting up in front of the council and people in the audience. He wanted daddy to be right next to him. Presenting the award is Randall Townley from Regional Educational Service Agency and Chief Darren Osborn.

He was very impressed with the police officers and the police department. After we left the council room he said, "That was so awesome!" I think he was great and it was awesome!
