Remember Yesterday?

My friend and co-worker, Pshyra, is a very talented writer. She has penned many wonderful children's books which I hope to see in print very soon, as well as many other writings and poems. Today was a typical day at work and then Pshyra read me her latest work. I asked her if I could post in on our blog because it's something I found to be very inspirational and I believe many others will as well.

Remember yesterday? That day that was before today? The promises that were broken. The dreams that faded. The pain and disappointment. The darkness that made us think that we'd never see tomorrow. That was yesterday. Remember? The things that didn't happen the way we believed they would. The injustice that we didn't deserve. That was yesterday. We stand here today in yesterday's tomorrow, looking back at yesterday like a slaughtered army that had no choice but to surrender tomorrow....once we stood up to it. And even now, as I look far in the distance, I see another battle ahead. I don't retreat. Instead, I sound my trumpet, draw my sword and run full speed ahead. I have no fear! For it is only another yesterday.
