Through the Lens - Digital Photography 101

I've been contemplating a photography class for some time now, and as I was perusing through Home Sweet Home recently I saw that Dawn had written a post about a Photography class. Hallie at From the Rubber Room has graciously taken on the role of "instructor". Click here to read more about the class.

We've only had one assignment so far - to read our camera manual. Who knew what all those buttons on my camera could do??? Obviously, I would have, had I read the manual! Now I know and wish I would have read the manual long ago, and especially before we went to the beach last week!!!

If anyone else is interested in this class, it's open to anyone and free! All you do is go to the website and click on the join group link and send an email to Hallie. It's all very easy. I hope to learn many things and will, of course, have more photos to share.

Over already??????

It seems like we anticipated our trip to the beach forever and ever and now it's already over. We had a great time! Well, who can't have a great time at the beach? Here's a little glimpse of our week.

Ordination Service

Today Brother Chris was ordained as a deacon at Mt. Paran and the Lord blessed the service tremendously. We had a wonderful time visiting with many friends.

Our latest piece of art work

A few days ago, I posted about the fun we have with the Rub-A-Dub Tub crayons. Well, today as I was running Joshua's bath water, he drew me a new picture......on the wall in the hallway!

Of course, it is a masterpiece, but I asked him, "Joshua, why did you draw on the wall instead of paper? Aren't we supposed to draw on your paper?" His response was so unexpected, "Momma, (but) I draw in bathtub!" Touche'!

You may not be able to see the art work very well in this picture, but it is drawn with a beautiful red crayon. Yes, we are leaving it on the wall.

Bath time is fun

Bath time is usually a fun time at our house, but is even more fun with Rub-a-Dub Tub Crayons. They're even better than the bathtub finger paints!!

A beautiful afternoon

After the stormy weather this weekend, we had beautiful weather today. Joshua and I spent the afternoon playing outstide, but it was very, very hot! I love these carefree days!!

To Joshua:
I loved you before we met.
I think I have loved you forever.
I will love you for always, for all that you are
my blessing, my beautiful child.
